Dancing in the Park

The Vail Dance Festival, Dancing in the Park returns to the neighboring township of Avon at Nottingham Park with a free performance open to all. The program includes the hip hop and breaking styles of Ephrat Asherie and Manon Bal, ballroom stars Denys Drozdyuk and Antonina Skobina, a contemporary performance by DanceAspen, and ballet excerpts with Philip Duclos from the Royal Danish Ballet, School of American Ballet senior Oliva Bell, and the visiting 2022 Scholars-in-Residence from Ukraine: Eva Hrytsak, Yeva-Mariia Skorenka and Polina Chepyk. YouthPower365’s Celebrate the Beat Celebration Team will also be performing an interactive dance demonstration during intermission. This event is free to attend and is open to all. BYOB and picnics are encouraged and welcomed.

Dancing in the Park is generously underwritten by Town of Avon and Slifer Smith & Frampton.

Public Transportation & Parking:  

  • The use of public transportation is encouraged as well as walking or riding a bike to the park.
  • Free on street parking is available, including on West Benchmark Road and Lake Street, as well as at the Avon Elementary School Parking Lots
