Avon is located just eight miles west of Vail off I-70, with residential neighborhoods to the north of town and Beaver Creek Resort to the south. At only three miles wide, you don’t need a car to explore Avon.
Driving in Avon
Avon is a bike and pedestrian-friendly community, so before you drive in Avon, make sure you know the rules of the roundabout! Avon Road, accessible from exit 167 off I-70, divides town east and west with five roundabouts in the half mile stretch from I-70 to the entrance to Beaver Creek. Avon is just eight miles west of Vail and about 2 hours from Denver by car. Avon connects to neighboring communities to the east and west by I-70 and US 6. On-street parking is available throughout the town core.
