From parks to playgrounds, Avon has activities for kids of all ages. Destination Jump Splash, Nottingham Park’s newest playground, is centrally located near the Avon Rec Center and other park attractions.

Destination Jump Splash

Destination Jump Splash, Avon’s newest playground located on the north edge of Nottingham Park, opened to rave reviews from adults and children alike. The playground features both traditional and nature-themed play equipment including swings, a zip-line, free standing climbing features, slides, and interactive equipment for children with all physical abilities. A small creek allows children the opportunity to interact with the water, and the riparian learning areas give children the opportunity to learn about plants indigenous to Colorado waterways. Destination Jump Splash is located on the north side of the Nottingham Park near the restrooms.

Pocket Parks

Several ‘pocket parks” are located throughout Avon. To the east, the Eaglebend Pocket Park has play equipment including swings and slides. In the Wildridge neighborhood, the O’Neal Spur Pocket Park is one acre of open space with play equipment for ages 2 – 12. A picnic shelter provides a shady area to relax and enjoy a picnic, and an adjacent dog park makes it possible for your four-legged friend to share in the fun. Restrooms are available and the park is ADA Accessible.

Just down the road, the Wildridge Pocket Park includes a neighborhood play area and play features for 5-12 year olds in addition to a basketball court with rims at two heights. Picnic areas, restroom facilities and water are available. The park is ADA accessible with limited parking.
