We love dogs and Nottingham Park or the West Avon Preserve are great places to hang out, hike and play with your pup. There are a few things to know about traveling with your dog in Avon.

Dogs in Avon

Nottingham Park is dog-friendly and the field and beach make a great spot to play with your pup. The park is a popular destination during the summer, so we ask that dogs are kept on leash except from 6 – 9 a.m. in the designated area (the big field and beach). These off leash dog hours are effective year-round in Nottingham Park. Some events in Nottingham Park are pet-friendly. Please check on an event-by-event basis about whether pets are permitted.

The West Avon Preserve is dog-friendly, and dogs are permitted off leash as long as they remain under voice control. Please be aware there is a lot of wildlife in the West Avon Preserve depending on the time of day. If you think your dog will chase wildlife, please keep them leashed.
