Tucked off I-70 in Avon’s core, Nottingham Lake serves as the central headquarters for summer activities in the park. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing beach day or planning open water swim practice for your next triathlon, Nottingham Lake offers stunning views of Beaver Creek and a soft, sandy beach.
Stand Up Paddle Colorado provides pedal boat, stand up paddleboard and kayak rentals from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends, and other small non-motorized boats are welcome. Paddling and relaxing on this little lake may be the most fun you have this summer!
Nottingham Lake is well stocked each spring and open for fishing from the banks or docks with a Colorado fishing license. Although no lifeguard is on-duty, a designated swimming area and open water swim lanes are well-marked. Beyond the sandy shores of Nottingham Beach, Harry A. Nottingham Park is the crown-jewel of Avon with shady picnic tables, trees to hang a hammock, charcoal grills, and anything else you need for a perfect summer afternoon.
