On the north side of Town, the West Avon Preserve offers trails of all levels of difficulty from easy to strenuous winding through the mountain side. All trails are dog friendly, so bring your four-legged friends along, and make sure they remain under voice control because there’s a lot of wildlife.
The Beaver Creek Point trailhead is a great option for family hikes and “Our Backyard” is a perfect afternoon or evening dog walk with fabulous sunset views! Hiking, biking and horseback riding are all allowed, and many trails offer exquisite views up and down the Valley. Seasonal trail closures in the West Avon Preserve typically occur from December to April on select trails.
Beaver Creek mountain is not just for skiing! The chairlifts and gondolas operate all summer, and guests can enjoy a relaxing scenic ride up Beaver Creek on Centennial Express. From there, hikers can explore aspen glades and wildflower fields on trails of all ability levels. Some trails are accessible from Beaver Creek village as well. So slap on the sunscreen, pack up your water and snacks, and muster your adventuring spirit to hit these trails.
