Free Summer Parking
The Town of Avon offers free summer parking for guests on Town‑owned streets from April 1 through November 30.
Free on-street parking is available on:
- East Benchmark Road
- West Benchmark Road
- Lake Street
- West Beaver Creek Boulevard
The Town will continue its current parking management practices at:
- Avon Recreation Center
- Avon Town Hall
- Avon Public Library
- Lot 16 Parking Lot (north side of Harry A. Nottingham Park)
Event guests are encouraged to:
- Use public transit, walk or ride a bike to the park.
- Take advantage of Avon buses and shuttles. For more details the Avon Transit schedules are available here.

Paid Winter Parking
Between December 1 and March 31, vehicles must register for all on-street parking in Avon.
Parking signs have a QR code or Text to Park number at four on-street locations. Avon has installed visible signage in both English and Spanish on East Benchmark Road, West Benchmark Road, Lake Street, and West Beaver Creek Boulevard.
Parking registration is different for each on-street area which has specific signage with a unique Text to Park number. These four parking areas offer three hours of free parking with registration, and then charge $1 per hour to park between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. When a customer utilizes the QR code or Text to Park number, the system will retain the information, making it easier and quicker to park at that location in the future. Failure to register may result in a $35 parking fine.
Tips and Tricks
- Read the nearest parking sign to you and register your vehicle immediately, this is what starts your time.
- If you consistently visit the Avon Recreation Center or park in the paid parking areas, take the time to set up an account instead of proceeding as a guest or visitor. The system will remember your information and over time should require less entry. Also, if you want a receipt for a rec center permit it must have a valid email to send one.
- After inputting the required information make sure to complete the process by clicking agree and register.
